Prioritize conditions and competencies with the highest leverage point for your district/LEA.
Plan for action in alignment with your priorities.
Welcome to the Prework for Opportunity Analysis Phase III: Analyze, Prioritize, Plan!
We are entering the final phase of the Opportunity Analysis!
Phases I and II have provided a foundation for Phase III during the November convening in Las Vegas. The outcomes from Phase III will guide your team’s experience and progress through the rest of the pilot.
Phase III has three parts: Analyze, Priotizie, and Plan.
Analyze: Use the data collected in Phase I, themes identified in Phase II, and the Navigation Tool for Scaling Personalized, Competency-Based Learning to determine your district’s current status (establishing, developing, operationalizing, refining) for eight pre-determined conditions and competencies.
Prioritize: Prioritize conditions and competencies with the highest leverage point for your district.
Futures Thinking: Between prioritizing and planning, you’ll learn about futures thinking and engage in activities to help you think more broadly about the future.
Plan: Plan for action by setting goals aligned with your priorities. This begins with a gap analysis for your team’s prioritized competencies, learning about continuous quality improvement (CQI) and the Results Framework, and drafting two to three outcomes your district will work toward throughout the pilot. You’ll be encouraged to consider what you may need to continue, stop, and start related to your goal areas before beginning to draft your first short-cycle action plan.
You will leave this convening with clarity about your desired outcomes, designated coach, and first coaching call.
