Convening Four Prework

Learning Outcomes

Activity

In this prework activity, you will be preparing to share about your learning cycle #1 with your accountability partner at the convening. First you will take a look at storytelling examples from previous Nevada Champions and other state networks, refresh your memory on the Learning Cycle and Levels of Data, and then create your own slide!

Instructions

Step 1:  Look through examples of storytelling slides. This will help to give you an idea of what your evidence slide could look like!

Step 2:  Revisit the Learning Cycle and Levels of Data. These are all slides you have seen before but refreshing your memory will be useful during the next step.

Step 3: Think about the questions in the Reflection section of the learning cycle and then begin to think about the questions in the Share section.

Step 4: Inside of your district's slidedeck you will find a blank slide to make a copy of for each school. Make sure to put your school and district name on the slide along with an explanation of the photos and artifacts in the note section. On this slide please provide photos of actions, artifacts, events, examples, etc. that will tell your team's Learning Cycle #1 story for your chosen learning focus.

Remember, practice is not always perfect; include celebrations, challenges, and maybe even barriers in alignment with your learnings.

Note: At the bottom of the slidedeck, there are a few slide templates you are welcome to choose from instead of using the blank slide. Just make sure you remember to put your school and district name on the slide and put your explanation in the notes!

Submit by adding your design team slide to your deck by January 30, 2025.

We look forward to seeing you and hearing your stories on 1/31/2025!
